Streamfield

019At the end of October 2011, after two blissfully happy years on the farm, we finally moved into our own home!

Nestled at the foot of the South Downs, Streamfield provides us with plenty of opportunity to continue our self-sufficient lifestyle.

We’re lucky enough to have inherited a small cider orchard, containing various species of apple, pear, gauge and quince, as well as established fruit cages containing raspberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries and blackberries.

raspberriesOur hens have settled happily into their new home made by my old friend, Roly the Game Keeper, and we’re currently debating where to put the next batch of pigs.

The garden is my favourite aspect of the property, crammed full of fabulous plants and shrubs, so I very much look forward to sharing with you my future gardening and cooking adventures.  This year I’m going to attempt some chutneys!

The house in its current guise is an absolute wreck so no doubt there’ll be some more grapesupcycling and creative projects to add to the blog too!

I very much look forward to sharing my 2014 projects with you.

013Happy Reading!
